On quality…we’re still streets aheadMike Heyes • 5th June
National standard now “embedded” in our culture, says ISO9001 assessor
At Words&Pictures we’re delighted to know that, once again, we’re “nailing” UK quality standards. We’re one of very few communications agencies in the country that continue to meet the nationally recognised ISO 9001:2008 standard.
Following a successful third consecutive annual audit this week, carried out by the British Assessment Bureau (BAB), it’s excellent to know that we’re still committed to the following:
- total quality management
- client focus
- continuous improvement
- understanding and documentation of critical processes, and
- strong management support.
Words&Pictures first gained the standard in 2013. Since then, quality has been central to everything we do.
Following the audit, the BAB assessor said: “It’s clear that the ISO 9001 standard is now embedded in the culture and work at Words&Pictures.”
“You make the standard work for yourselves and that helps to deliver the highest standard of work for clients,” he added. “You’ve nailed it.”
The assessor said studio creativity at Words&Pictures was underpinned by “robust documented processes” which were “continually monitored”, thereby ensuring client needs are met at all times.
Studio manager, Mike Heyes, added: “We have a quality policy and a quality management system in place and we audit all processes at the heart of our business against these measures throughout the year.”
From there, the company identifies areas for improvement, tackling any non-compliance head-on. “It’s a thorough process – but an essential part of producing quality work that continues to delight clients,” added Mike.
